As much as this is a nice and compact item and isn't bulky I wouldn't recommend using this for more than a weekend camping. We use this as just a bit more comfort on stretchers. On every use you do have to leave the valve open a bit so that the matters inflate. Its not something I will get rid of quickly as it still serves a good purpose on camping trips.
